Telecare is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who provide leadership, oversight and stewardship for the organization. Our Board members bring a range of experience, perspectives and skills to help Telecare remain strong, sustainable and responsive to the needs of our community.
I'm proud to volunteer with the Telecare Distress Line of Greater Simcoe and to support an organization that provides an important listening ear to people in our community.
As Chair, I'm committed to helping the organization continue to grow, serve those who need it, and make a positive difference.
I volunteer with Telecare because I cares about the well-being of people in our community and believes strongly in the value of connection.
I enjoy being part of a group of dedicated people who give their time to support others. For me, volunteering is an opportunity to make a difference, one conversation at a time.
I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and connected.
Being part of this organization that is there for people during difficult moments is something that I find both meaningful and rewarding.
Volunteering with the Telecare Distress Line is a way for me to contribute to something that really matters.
I believe that having someone willing to listen, without judgment, can make a real difference when someone is going through a difficult time. I’m happy to be part of a team that helps keep this important service available to our community.
I’m a strong advocate for volunteering. Not only is it a wonderful way to give back to your community, but I truly believe it’s good for the soul, too. I’m grateful to have found another amazing organization in Telecare Distress Line of Greater Simcoe to donate my time and energy to.
I’m inspired by Telecare’s commitment to being there for people when they need someone to listen. I’m proud to support an organization that provides such an important service to our community and to be part of a team that helps make a difference, one conversation at a time.
When I’m not volunteering, you can usually find me lost in the pages of a good book, wandering a trail, or somewhere in the crowd at a sporting event.
Our volunteers are at the heart of Telecare. They come from different backgrounds, experiences and walks of life, but they share something important: they care about people.
Every Telecare volunteer receives specialized training to develop the listening, communication and support skills needed to respond compassionately to callers. For their privacy, each volunteer has chosen an alias.
